General Therapist FAQs

Zen Hut is a platform connecting self-employed therapists with clients for mobile and incall massage services. Therapists set their availability, treatments, and service areas.

You can specify in the app whether or not you carry a table, but Zen Hut therapists do not need to carry massage tables. Massages can be performed on the client’s mattress or their own massage table. Client’s must state whether or not they need a table when they book to avoid any confusion.

You set which massage types you offer in the app. The options are Classic Relaxing, Deep Tissue, Slimming, Swedish, Lomi, Sports, Aromatherapy, Thai Oil and Thai Stretching.

Yes, you can choose the areas where you work and assign custom travel fees for individual postcodes.

Incall massages are conducted at your home or studio. If you have a suitable space, you can accept incall bookings. Your address is hidden until the client has completed their booking and passed online 3-d secure verification.

No, there is no fee to join Zen Hut. We only take a commission on completed bookings.

Yes, you have complete control over your availability. You can set your hours through the app.

No, as you’re a self-employed therapist it’s not a requirement.

Submit an application on our website with your qualifications, experience, and other details. Once approved and onboarded, you can start accepting bookings.

That’s up to you. You can opt to accept cash only from clients, carry a chip and pin card reader or get paid online in advance.

Every Monday you’ll receive an invoice with details of all of your bookings from the previous week along with the breakdown of the commission calculation. If you get paid directly by clients you’ll have to send us the commission by the end of the week. If your clients pay online we’ll transfer your earnings, minus our commission, every Monday.

We take 25% of the value of each booking. This rate will not be beaten by any other massage platform in London. As well as fairer commission we genuinely believe we offer the best all-round platform for therapists.

Because you control where and when you work through directly the app you should not have grounds to reject a booking. However, if it’s due to safety concerns or a sudden emergency it is possible.

Late cancellations or no-shows are covered by Zen Hut’s cancellation policy, which ensures you still receive compensation.

Clients must provide towels, but you should bring your own oils to each booking.

Zen Hut prioritizes therapist safety. If you ever feel unsafe, you can decline or leave a booking and report the incident to us immediately. We will ban clients who breach of code of conduct.

Yes, and no explanation is needed to justify blocking a client. The client won’t know you’ve blocked them.
